Harrogate will be alive with sound on the last Saturday of the month from 7.30 pm when book fans and music lovers descend on Beulah62, the town’s buzz-generating community arts venue, to show their love of words and music.
An exciting event for adults, Words & Music gives musicians, poets and authors the opportunity to present their work in a warm and intimate setting. If you don’t have work of your own to present, come and read works by your favourite writers and poets, or talk about what words and music mean to you – for example, who was the pop star you wanted to be as a teenager, and why? Or maybe a song was playing on the radio when something great happened in your life – so what was that song?
Bring a bottle, be it juice or stronger, and enjoy a night like no other when it comes to talent, laughter and sharing. You’ll have the chance to find out more about what Beulah62 can do for you, and make new friends.
There’ll be a selection of food, tea and coffee available to buy on the night. Buy your ticket in advance from Beulah62 on Tuesdays and Thursdays (9am-6pm) or on the door on the night. Either way, your ticket will cost you only £2 and you’ll find us at 11 Beulah Street, between Costa and the card shop.
Beulah62 encourages everyone to grow creatively, developing artistic skills for life and wellbeing. Guest artists, musicians and writers are always on hand to nurture and offer constructive advice. We provide a safe space for all and don’t discriminate.
